| About Bisson Bears |
I have been designing and making Bisson Bears for nearly 12 years now! Each of my designs are made with great care, individually and solely by myself from start to finish, from inicial sketches to designing a pattern, to choosing the fabrics. These have always in the main been mohairs and alpacas, however, I have recently been using some fantastic viscose and mohair mixed fabrics which are proving really great for some of my smaller bears.
To ensure non of my design is lost I hand stitch all of my designs first before machining and always make one at a time from start to finish before embarking on the next. I find this personally much more interesting and believe the finished bear to be better when given my full attention throughout the different processes of creating the finished design.
I use polypropelene pellets and stuffing for the larger bears and steel pellets and stuffing for the smaller. I much prefer the weight this gives the bear and in doing so makes it alot easier to position and of course it gives them a lovely feel and look.
Specific requests are more than welcome ie: different colours, fabrics, sizes etc. I have designed some special one of a kind characters over the years this way. So please either email or call, all enquiries welcome.
All of my creations are either small limited edition of usually no more than 5 or one of a kind designs.
